Zettex incoders is a non-contact device for precise angle measurement. They work like a transformer, using electromagnetic induction technology. Incoders can be considered as an inductive angle encoder.
Incoders are ideal for harsh environments - applications where the use of potentiometers, optical or capacitive devices may prove unreliable.
Incoder high precision absolute encoder can be widely used in test and calibration equipment, rotary joint and universal bracket, camera bracket, radar servo system, large caliber weapon system, antenna pointing device, robot arm and CNC machine tools.
High reliability inductive angle encoder Technology
The encoder has two main components - a stator and a rotor - each of which is shaped like a flat ring. The large diameter through hole can easily accommodate the through shaft, slip ring, optical fiber, pipeline or cable, while the flat and thin design can be used conveniently in the limited space. It is very simple and reliable to use.
The stator is supplied with power and the rotor is passive. The stator contains an electronic circuit to receive power and produce an output signal. The output signal from the stator can show the true absolute angular position of the rotor relative to the stator without any movement.
Simple installation - "fit and forget" technology
The incoder inductive angle encoder does not need a compatible or special coupling, and the rotor and stator can be simply screwed to the host product. Precise mechanical installation is not required and there are no bearings.
While optical or capacitive angle encoders can be unreliable under harsh conditions - especially condensation or dust - zettex angle encoders are generally unaffected by external foreign matter and have IP67 protection. Unlike the capacitive measuring device, it is not necessary to ground the rotor or stator. The solid hard anodized aluminum alloy shell and the whole encoder use integral structure.
There is no contact, no precision parts or wearing parts, so it is not necessary to replace, repair or maintain regularly. In other words, the incoder angle encoder is a real "fit and forget" device.
