ZETTLEX IncOders are non-contact devices for precision angle measurements. They use induction technology and work like an electronic transformer. The IncOders can be considered as an inductive encoder. The name is the abbreviation for inductive encoder. IncOders are well suited for harsh environments-these local potentiometers, optics or capacitance devices may be unreliable. The IncOders have two main components, each shaped like a flat ring: a stator and a rotor. The stator is energized and the angle of the passive rotor is measured. Large aperture and low axial thickness can be easily integrated with through shaft, slip ring, direct drive motor, optical fiber, pipe or cable.
Characteristics
No coupling is required, the rotor and stator can be fixed directly to the host product.
Reliable measurement performance is achieved without the need for very high precision mechanical installation and without bearing.
The measurement performance specified in this product guide is guaranteed by simply installing IncOder according to the installation tolerances.

The installation
Screw installation IncOders can be installed in a variety of ways. The following sketch shows several examples.
Installation tolerances at the time of installation are within the range of axial clearance and concentricity tolerances provided in the figure below to ensure the accuracy specified in the sample

All forms of IncOder can be installed with a clamp ring on a host device.This method can be applied to the rotor and stator.The clearance of the C-ring should be secured perfectly with at least one screw.
