Zettlex IncOders are non contact devices for precise Angle measurement.They use induction technology and work like an electronic transformer.IncOders can be considered an inductive encoder.Name the inductive encoder abbreviations.

IncOders are well suited for harsh environments - these are places where potentiometers, optical or capacitor devices may not be reliable.

IncOders have two main components, each shaped like a flat ring: a stator and a rotor.The stator is energized and the angular position of the passive rotor is measured.Large aperture and low axial thickness can be easily integrated with through shaft, slip ring, direct drive motor, fiber optic, pipe or cable.

No coupling is required, the rotor and stator can be fixed directly to the host product.Reliable measurement performance is achieved without the need for very high precision mechanical installation and without bearing.

The installation

Doubleredundant output IncOders can be installed in a variety of ways.The following sketch shows several examples.Installation tolerances at the time of installation are within the range of axial clearance and concentricity tolerances provided in the figure below to ensure the accuracy specified in the sample.

Double redundant IncOders part number

Double redundant IncOders(Inc-10) default is that the inner and outer ring devices have the same electrical output.

A double-redundant IncOders can also specify the inner and outer ring of the device with different electrical interfaces.Some applications have this requirement, such as:

▪ Absolute encoders for gearbox output shafts and pulse encoders for motor drive input shafts.

▪ To avoid communication errors, two different formats of output are used.

If different electrical interfaces are required, use the selection manual in Section 8 to specify the outer ring encoder and add AN electrical note to the inner ring encoder, for example, inc-10-250-141001-SSI1-AC1-12-an outer ring and 141001-SSI3-AC1-24 inner rings.

Note that the performance of the outer ring device will be the same as described in the IncOder of the nominal outer diameter size, but the performance of the inner ring device will be the same as that of the smaller device.
