Zettex incoders is a non-contact device for precise angle measurement. They use induction technology and work like an electronic transformer. Incoders can be considered as an inductive encoder. The name is the abbreviation of inductive encoder.

Incoders are ideal for harsh environments - where potentiometers, optical or capacitive devices may not be reliable.

Incoders has two main components, each of which is shaped like a flat ring: a stator and a rotor. The stator is energized and the angular position of the passive rotor is measured. Large aperture and low axial thickness can be easily integrated with through shaft, slip ring, direct drive motor, optical fiber, pipe or cable.

Incoders can be installed in various ways. The following sketch shows several examples. As long as the installation tolerance is within the range of axial clearance and concentricity tolerance provided in the figure below, the accuracy specified in the sample can be guaranteed.
